Academic project where all phases of creating a journal are included. Starting with the chosen theme, the first sketches are created, where the criteria that will determine the composition parameters are defined. The images, proportions and texts constitute the initial decisions before making the readability test and adapting it to a grid of German-Swiss type. From the parameters and composition measurement, the number of keystrokes we need to enter the text is calculated. After adjusting our original literary texts and images are mocked, applying the acquired technical knowledge: spacing, spacing, colour reproduction, etc. Files are afterwards converted to standard PDF-printing formats X3 and X4, together with a check on the ink limit (specified in 320%), resolutions and embedded fonts. After creating the PDF files, the imposition is calculated before printing the job. It’s being determined by the printing machine and the type of binding.
